About the Event

Make a Difference Day is Sausalito's citywide day of volunteer service — a single day when community organizations and neighbors come together to attend and care for the places we all share. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your community, give back, build friendships, and make a meaningful impact through collaborative volunteering.

Event Day (2026)

Schedule: September 12, 2026, at Dunphy Park
Time Activity
8:00 – 9:00 AM • Coffee & pastries hosted by the Sausalito Cruising Club
• Welcome from Mayor Woodside
9:00 AM – Noon Work on your selected project
Noon – 2:00 PM • Lunch hosted by the Lions Club
• Live music by the Hot Clams, sponsored by SCA
2:30 – 8:30 PM Music by DJs By the Bay

Projects

Every project has a project leader and a crew of volunteers. Projects range from weeding, clean-up, painting, and sanding to other hands-on work around town. Since volunteers of all ages and abilities join in, each project lists any specific skill or physical requirements so you can pick the one that's right for you.
